You are invited to participate in the annual Port Lavaca Chamber of Commerce Consignment Auction to be held on Saturday, December 5, 2015, beginning 10:00 a.m. at Bauer Exhibit Building at the Calhoun County Fairgrounds. Get a jump start on spring cleaning and look around your house or business for any excess items or equipment that you no longer have a need to own. This is the perfect time to donate these surplus items or place them on consignment to be auctioned off.

The combined Chamber/Auctioneer commission for consignment items is as follows:

General Merchandise:
Sales price of $10,000.00 or more=15%
Sales price of $2,500.00 to $9,999.00=20%
Sales price less than $2,500.00= 25%

Motorized and/or heavy equipment = 15%

As an alternative to consignment, the Port Lavaca Chamber of Commerce will gladly accept any donated items as this annual auction serves as one of the Chamber’s fundraisers. In the event you choose to donate any items, the Chamber will receive the profit from the sale and you will receive a receipt acknowledging your charitable contribution.

The auction will be conducted by Marvin D. Seitz & Associates. Auction officials will be at the Bauer Exhibit Building at the County Fair Grounds on Wednesday December 2, 2015 through Friday December 4, 2015 (from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.) to accept any consigned or donated items. If you have items you wish to place in the auction, please bring them to the Bauer Exhibit Building during those hours or call the Chamber office (361) 552-2959 for any additional information.

Even if you do not have items to sell, please come out to view and shop the merchandise. You never know when you might find that one thing you keep looking for! Food and refreshments will be available for cash purchase and proceeds will benefit the Calhoun County 4H Club.   Credit cards will be accepted for auction items, as will cash and checks.
