THE WARRIORS ARE COMING! THE WARRIORS ARE COMING! And we are preparing for another great Saturday breakfast of tacos. There is no way we could accomplish this task without the help of the entire Chapel family and many friends who come along side us! It is a huge task to round up the 40 different items that are needed in multiples to feed the soldiers and their families. “Thank you!” sounds so trite for all the tremendous efforts of not only those who generously provided the supplies, but the 25 people who made it happen! Those who came for the “Egg Cracking Party” and those who got to the Community Center by 4:00 a.m. to actually put it all together are dedicated people who love our servicemen and servicewomen and want to contribute something to make this weekend extra special. Thanks!

Pastor Joane preached the Mother’s Day message for our ladies. It was a great time and each mother received a special gift. That evening we celebrated a birthday with cookie cake and Blue Bell.

We are ministering concerning the Lord’s Sermon on the Mount. We are using what we call the “Beatitudes” each Sunday morning at 11:00 a.m., but also finding additional messages that we are sharing in the Sunday evening service at 6:00 p.m. and the Wednesday midweek service at 7:00 p.m. Most of us have read these “Beatitudes” without truly understanding what they mean, so we are finding great instruction as well as wonderful inspiration from this Bible passage. Come and bring a friend!

On May 29, at 6:00 p.m., we will be gathering at the Chapel around the Barbeque Pit for a time of great food and fellowship. It will be an All Church Fellowship. The volleyball net will be up and other games will be available, but the main attraction will be the food that comes off the pit! The Chapel offers many opportunities for fellowship and everyone is welcomed.

On June 10 and 11, we will be hosting another retreat with those from Gonzales. They will be coming for a spiritual refueling and a body refreshing. It will be a great time and they will return back home with a new commitment to service for the Lord.

On June 19, every dad present in our Father’s Day service will receive a unique gift with dads in mind! No one could guess what it is, but we have Captain Marty to thank for his generosity again this year!

Fisherman’s Chapel is an interdenominational congregation whose task is helping us reach Heaven safely. Everyone will find a warm welcome at the Chapel and all are urged to, “Come, grow with us!”
