Thirty eight years years ago Capt. Dennis Raby while working for Jackson Marine, towed this massive oil rig from dry dock out into the Gulf of Mexico. The rig and platform were brand new and named “Bullwinkle” . At the time it was one of the largest and most state-of-the art platform of its kind. Now, as fate would have it, Capt. Nancy Raby-Fowler, the daughter of Capt. Dennis, is the captain of a crew/supply boat out of Louisiana delivering crews and supplies to the huge platform.

Capt. Dennis passed away Dec. 8th, 2006. I know in my heart he would be proud to know that his daughter; a PORT O’CONNOR WOMAN, is now a 100 ton Captain and tending to “Bullwinkle” . What an awesome coincidence !
