The meeting of February 17th was held in the Port O’Connor Community Center at 10:00 a.m. with a guest, Cub Scout leader Beverly Clifton, present and one returning member.
Returning to Port O’Connor after several years’ absence are June Westling and her husband.  June received a hearty welcome from the members.


The main item on the agenda was discussion concerning the Spring Garage Sale.  Chairman Biddie Hileman proposed the date of Saturday, April 9th in the Community Center.  It was decided that the Sale would be held in the Pavilion and that there would be an accompanying Bake Sale under the leadership of Sally Ragusin.  So, ladies, if early Spring cleaning is on your calendar during the next several weeks, and there are items to be discarded, please contact Ms. Hileman at 983-2241 to arrange for storage.  And don’t forget that there will be many items at the Bake Sale available for your Easter entertaining!


The next meeting of the Service Club will be Thursday, March 3, at 10:00 a.m. in the back room of the Community Center. We welcome any women potentially interested in aiding our Community. Do come and check us out. You might even see your neighbor!
