Fort Worth – Christine Taylor, 82, passed away Tuesday, March 8, 2011. A Celebration of Life was held on Friday, March 11, at Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Chapel. Interment was at Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park.
Christine was born on July 1, 1928 to Q.E. and Justine Simmons in Grantsburg, Illinois. She was a faithful Christian who enjoyed playing the piano, having taught herself to play many different types of music. She was a retired Justice of the Peace in Calhoun County. According to her family, the Texas Rangers have lost their biggest fan.
She is survived by her daughters, Elizabeth Wyatt and Tammy Lyn Davis; son, John Taylor, Jr. and wife, Jan; brother, Vernon Simmons and wife, Toni; sister, Laurel Jerden and husband, Chuck; sisters-in-law, Wanda Stoker, Joyce Long, Ruth Servis, Doris Sanidas; 4 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.
