Victoria – Dorothy E. Myers of Victoria passed away March 15, 2011. She was born Oct. 19, 1912, in Tarrytown, N.Y., to the late Maxwell P. and Amelia L. Eckhardt.

She is survived by her daughter, Nancy Childress, of Seadrift; grandchildren, Cathy Clare and husband Gary of Dallas, George Scott Myers and wife Eryn of Houston, and Melissa Terrell of Houston; great-grandsons, Samuel Clare, Hayden Terrell, and Brendan Terrell.

In addition to her parents, Dorothy was preceded in death by  her husband, George Myers; sons, George Myers Jr. and Jack E. Myers; brothers, Carl Eckhardt and Jack Eckhardt.

A memorial service was held at Grace Lutheran Church on Saturday, March 19, with the Rev. Chris Johnson officiating.
