The month of May is a very active month in Port O’Connor. WARRIORS WEEKEND being held on May 20-21. Make plans to come out and show these people how we support them for giving their all for us.

On May 28th at King Fisher Beach, beginning at 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. “ANNUAL KIDS FISHING TOURNAMENT” for ages 3-12 years. Children must be registered at the site before beginning to fish. Bait will be furnished by Beacon 44 Bait. Each child will receive gifts from the Chamber and trophies will be awarded to winners of each categories.

During this time the POSCA will be busy with their ANNUAL COOK OFF to raise funds for the Sports Association of Port O’Connor. No need to cook lunch – come on down and eat at the beach or take your barbecue sandwiches home and relax in front of the a/c.

Then, following lunch, will be the KITE FLYING CONTEST. Registration is at 12:30 and the contest begins at 1:00. The contest is for all ages, so start making or buying those kites, as there is certainly enough wind to be practicing. This should be a fun filled day at King Fisher Beach!
