The Food Bank of the Golden Crescent held its annual Agency Relations Conference and 25th Anniversary Celebration on Friday, May 20th, 2011 at the John Wesley United Methodist Church in Victoria. Nearly 200 were in attendance representing food pantries, soup kitchens and shelters from 90 agencies located throughout the 11 county service area of the food bank.
H.E.B. received the Food Bank’s highest honor, “The Benefactor’s Award” for their 25 years of partnership and support. The Victoria Postal Workers and South Texas BSA Council both received the “Helping Hands Award” for conducting annual food drives in which both have raised more than 130,000 pounds of food over the last 11 years.
