Joe B Reuss

I have just learned of this celebration and I hope to be there for it.
My Great Grandfather, Dr. J. M. Reuss landed there in December of 1845 coming from Germany on the ship Neptune. Though he intended to go on to Fredericksburg, he elected to remain in Indianola and tend the sick. He remained there until after the 1875 Huricaine at which time he relocated to Cuero where he remained until his death in 1908. He founded the Reuss Drug Store which is still in operation and claims to be the oldest Drug Store in continus operation in Texas.

Thanks again!
