This is the fourth straight summer Heinz Reichhardt has gone offshore fishing in Port O’Connor. He and his wife, Ulla, enjoy being in Port O’Connor and always look forward to their visits.

Heinz caught this king mackerel drifting a ribbon fish behind a shrimp boat about 25 miles offshore. Blue water, dolphins, sea birds, shrimp boats and clear weather made for a beautiful morning.

Petra and Ladd Hockey added a nice atmosphere to the trip with Petra’s knowledge of seabirds and Ladd’s fishing expertise. The photo was taken by Petra Hockey.
