Grandparents Visit Students

On Friday, September 9th, the cafeteria was filled with happy students beaming proudly and introducing their grandparents to their fellow classmates. Thank you to all grandparents who attended the Grandparent’s Day lunch this year.

Second and Fifth Grade Students are “Math Buddies”

Every Friday 5th grade students come to 2nd grade for math work stations. Both groups gain valuable practice in math skills. The 5th graders act as tutors and teachers to the 2nd graders. The following are quotes from the second graders:

Amy Resendiz: “Math buddies are very smart. They help us to be smart. Math buddies are fun too. Math buddies also help us on the dance mat. My favorite thing about math buddies is dance mat.”

John Rosenboom: “Mitchell Arlitt was my first buddy. Marshall Arlitt was my second buddy. My third math buddy was Marshall. My favorite part is the math balance.”

Tarah Munsch: “My math buddy is a good teacher.”

Anthony Luna: “My favorite part of math buddies is money. My first math buddy was Gavin Gosnell.”

Jessie Lashley: “I like math buddies because I like to balance things.”

Maddie Hawes: “My favorite thing is dance mat.”

Joey Helms: “My favorite part of math buddies is math balance.”

Harley Albrecht: “I like math buddies because math balance is easy.”

Keven Salinas: ‘I had fun with math buddies because work is easy work.”

Lacey Woest: “My math buddy is my cousin and she is nice.”

Sarah Doggett: “I like the clock the most at math buddies.”

Alex DiClimente: “I like math buddies because they are fun. My partner is Madison Posey.”

Shayla Teel: “I like math buddies because they are fun. My partner is Madison Posey and she is very smart and nice.”

Jordan Blevins: “I like the math balance because I think it is fun.”

PTO News

The Halloween Carnival is scheduled for Saturday, October 29th. The PTO will be selling raffle tickets soon and can always use help with the carnival. If you’d like to volunteer, call the office 983-2341 or contact one of the PTO officers: Rachel Redding, Dawn Ragusin, Lucy Branch or Andi Munsch.
