James Ray Belvins, 56, of Ocala, Florida, formerly of Seadrift, passed away due to cancer on September 28, 2011. He was born in Port Lavaca on January 19, 1955 to parents, Will Leo Blevins and Thelma Elizabeth Stown Blevins.
Preceded in death by parents and two brothers: John Edward Blevins and Gary Lynn Blevins.
Survived by brothers: Marcus Blevins (Sue), Wesley Blevins (Janie), David Blevins (Joyce), Kenneth “Peanut” Blevins (Kathy) of Seadrift, Roger Blevins (Yvonne) of Rio Rancho, NM, Walter Blevins (Kathy) of Victoria; sister, Elizabeth “Cissy” Sprague (Bobby), Shirley Helms (Larry), Betty Cunningham of Seadrift, Dora Ballard (James) of Port Lavaca, Dona Stanley (Mike) of North Pole, Alaska; children Jeremiah James Blevins, Michael Roy Blevins, John Leo Blevins and Jesse Blevins. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
He was a fisherman his whole life. He loved being on the water and working with his brothers.
