Community Bake Sale to help the Jerry Nutt Benefit will be Saturday, February 11 at Speedy Stop, starting at 7:30 a.m.

Movie Night will be Sunday, the 12th, at 6:00 p.m. at the Chapel, featuring “Courageous”.
All will receive a free bag of popcorn and bottled water upon arrival. This is an excellent family movie with a special message concerning parenting. This will be an excellent “Valentine Event” and everyone is welcomed!

An evening with Ric Gorden will be Monday, February 13, 7:00 p.m. at the Chapel. Most of us have enjoyed the music and message of Ric. He will be with us for an evening of great music, fun and games, dinner, and a great time of fellowship. There is no charge for this outstanding evening – an evening to remember.

The Chapel has a Sunday Morning Bible Study in Spanish for all our Spanish speaking community. These studies are planned to help attendees learn more about the Bible and enjoy fellowship with other Spanish-speaking folks. Hermano Jessie leads this group and everyone is invited to attend.

Fisherman’s Bible Institute will not meet on Valentine’s Day, but will continue its studies on Tuesday, February 21, from 7-9 p.m. Because it is hard for some of our students to climb the stairs at the parsonage, we are now meeting in the Chapel. If you are not a part of this group, you will find a warm welcome here. For more information, please call Pastor Joane (983-2619).

We just completed a Sea Academy class here at the Chapel and the next class will begin April 13. Those desiring to get the “Captain Licenses” should contact Captain Robert (361/816-3010) as soon as possible to be ready for this class.

March “madness” will be kicked off with our annual Chili Cook Off on Sunday, March 4, in honor of Papaw’s 91st Birthday. Everyone needs to get your ingredients together, because I am planning to win one! I have placed last for the last time! I am looking for some real judges, who know true Texas Chili when they taste it (and might be persuaded to help me win one)! Please call and tell me you are available!

A group of youth from Arkansas will be coming here for their Spring Break and to do ministry in Port O’Connor. They will arrive on Saturday, March 17 and will lead an area Youth Rally here at the Chapel. The Chapel will be packed with youth from across this area and you are welcome. This will be a lot of fun and an opportunity to meet a lot of different kids. More information will be forthcoming about the Arkansas Youths’ week in POC.

Fisherman’s Chapel is an interdenominational congregation whose goal is to provide everyone with the help they desire that will make this journey through life better and easier. One will always find a warm welcome at any and all our activities and you are urged to, “Come, grow with us!”
