Von L “Buddy” Adams Jr., 72, of Seadrift passed away on Sunday, January 29, 2012. He was born in Port St. Joe, FL on August 4, 1939 to the late Von L Adams Sr. and Velonia Plair Adams. He was a pipefitter and a veteran of the U.S. Navy.

Besides his parents, Von L is preceded in death by his wife, Marsha Kay Mooney Adams, one son, Rodney Zack Adams, and one brother, William L. “Billy” Adams.

Survivors include two daughters, Rhonda L. Adams and Karen Adams Thuet both of Seadrift; one son, Gary Von Adams and wife Michelle of Seadrift; two sisters, Leona McWhorter and LaVon Groce, both of Pace, FL; brother, Johnny Adams and wife Beverly of Bay Minette, AL; five grandchildren, Brent N. Thuet, Sara, Tara and Kara Plummer all of Seadrift; great-grandchild expected August 27, 2012. He is also survived by Paul “Toby” N. Thuet and wife Lynn of Victoria.

A memorial service was held February 4, 2012 at the Seadrift Cemetery pavilion with Pastor Larry Green officiating.
