Students in Mrs. Renee Hawes’ class are learning gardening skills first hand at Tommy and Brenda Smith’s garden. The kids have planted green beans, potatoes, squash, tomatoes, cucumbers, and bell peppers. At the garden, students are responsible for watering, weeding, aerating, and measuring plant growth.
