Seadrift – Corrie Jane (Kornegay) Lee, 83, passed away Thursday, May 17, 2012. She was born September 11, 1928 in Chriesman, Texas to the late Horace C. and Lila Black Kornegay. She was a retired teacher of 35 years from Calhoun County ISD and was a Methodist.
Jane is survived by her daughter, Janie Lee Klare and husband Mark Golden of Victoira; son, Jerry A. Lee and wife Kathy of Portland; grandchildren, Britton Ray, Briana Lee Howlett, Corrie Lee, Frances Lee Balensiefen, Justin Klare, Clinton Klare and Brooke Lee; great-grandchildren, Gavin, Madison, Joe David, Audrey, Ella and Kaidyn.
She is preceded in death by her paretns; sister Mavis Correnty and brothers, Byron, David and C.D. “Darwin” Kornegay.
Funeral services were held May 21, 2012 at Richardson Colonial Funeral Home with Dennis Wittnebert officiaiting. Burial followed at Seadrift Cemetery.
