Bull Reds!

We own a beach house in the wonderful little town of “POC” and are down just about every weekend to fish. This past weekend was the first weekend we had the whole family together (post my older sister Tiffany’s wedding in March) to fish for Reds like we have done for the past three years in POC. It was an amazing weekend, and we hooked into a redfish run in unique fashion with 3 anglers on the boat – My sister, myself and my brother in law- all hooking a 30+ inch Bull Red all at once… even better, my brother in law doubled the fun by hooking two 30+ inch reds on his rod!

Needless to say it was a Majek parade of adrenaline, excitement, pure joy, and FUN trying to get all 4 Bull Reds successfully into the boat for photos before releasing them back to make someone else’s day! Above is the photo of the 3 of us with our 4 Bull Reds.

Photo above: (L to R) – Brian Korbell with 30” & 37”, Tiffany Nagelmueller Korbell with 38.5”, and Jenny Nagelmueller with 40.5” Bull Reds! Caught around 2:00 p.m. at the POC Jetties!

That’s awesome. Try to hold the Big Reds horizontal when CPR “catch photo release.” Holding them with grips, from their jaw, puts a heavy strain on those bones. Any flopping compounds the problem. Good for you all for releasing.
