Start Training For the 2nd Annual 5K
The 2nd Annual P.O.C. 5K and Dolphin Run Kids K will be held Saturday, October 13 at King Fisher Park. The event committee is looking for event sponsors. A portion of the proceeds will go to beautify King Fisher Park. Artisan and retail vendors are also encouraged to reserve a space at the start/finish line.
Quick Facts:
• P.O.C. 5K will be held at the front beach.
• The 5K is an optional run or walk.
•A new one mile course will be available for 5K walkers and the Dolphin Run.
• All 5K runners will be timed.
• Over 100 runners participated last year.
• $2,743 was donated to the Port O’Connnor Chamber of Commerce.
• P.O.C. 5K will be promoted on TV, radio stations, and print media in the surrounding counties.
