Blood transfusions play an important role in many patients’ recovery. As a result, donors are connected to patients for life. A single donation can unite a donor with as many as three patients.
Summertime comes with a typical decline in donations for the community blood supply. As schools are out, people vacation and are unavailable to donate, the demand for blood in South Texas hospitals continues during these months. It is crucial that donors continue to donate in order to meet the demand from over 100 hospitals across 43 South Texas counties. Donors are helping patients who depend on them to battle whatever ailment they may have. Give of yourself to save lives and connect with South Texas patients for life.
