Life from the seat of a tractor..
An old farmer’s words of wisdom we could all live by…….

Your fences need to be horse-high, pig-tight and bull-strong.
Lettin’ the cat outta the bag is a whole lot easier than puttin’ it back in.
Life is simpler when you plow around the stump.
A bumble bee is considerably faster than a John Deere tractor.
Words that soak into your ears are whispered…. not yelled.
Meanness don’t just happen overnight.
Forgive your enemies; it messes up their heads.
Do not corner something that you know is meaner than you.
It don’t take a very big person to carry a grudge.
You cannot unsay a cruel word.
Every path has a few puddles.
When you wallow with pigs, expect to get dirty.
The best sermons are lived, not preached.
Most of the stuff people worry about, ain’t never gonna happen anyway.
Don’t judge folks by their relatives.
Remember that silence is sometimes the best answer.
Live a good and honorable life, then when you get older and think back, you’ll enjoy it a second time.
Don’t interfere with somethin’ that ain’t bothering you none.
Timin’ has a lot to do with the outcome of a rain dance.
If you find yourself in a hole, the first thing to do is stop diggin’.
Sometimes you get, and sometimes you get got.
Always drink upstream from the herd.
Good judgment comes from experience, and a lotta that comes from bad judgment.

Reflections of an Old-timer:

1.  I started out with nothing, and I still have most of it.
2.  My wild oats have turned into prunes and all-bran.
3.  I finally got my head together, and now my body is falling apart.
4.  Funny, I don’t remember being absent-minded.
5.  Funny, I don’t remember being absent-minded.
6.  If all is not lost, where is it?
7.  It is easier to get older than it is to get wiser.
8.  Some days you’re the dog; some days you’re the hydrant.
9.  I wish the buck stopped here; I sure could use a few.
10. It’s hard to make a comeback when you really haven’t been anywhere.
11.  The only time the world beats a path to your door is when you’re in the bathroom.
12.  If God wanted me to touch my toes, he’d have put them on my knees.
13.  When I’m finally holding all the cards, why does everyone want to play chess?
14.  It’s not hard to meet expenses…they’re everywhere.
15.  The only difference between a rut and a grave is the depth.
16.  These days, I spend a lot of time thinking about the hereafter…I go somewhere to get something, and then wonder what I’m here after.
17.  Funny, I don’t remember being absent-minded.

God, grant me the senility to forget the people I never liked anyway, the good fortune to run into the ones I do…and the eyesight to tell the difference.
