Herb & Adell Reeves

After having a wonderful big celebration last year planned and hosted by their wonderful children and grandchildren, Steve and his wife Stacy of Katy, and Scott and his wife Heather of Austin, and their four grandchildren, John and Sarah of Katy, and Ella and Tessa of Austin, Herb and Adell Reeves of Port O’Connor/Katy chose to celebrate their 51st wedding anniversary this year by returning to Corpus Christi to attend services at the church where they met and later married. They were married in Calvary Baptist Church Corpus Christi on Aug. 26, 1961.

Joining them for the special time of worship, and for lunch celebrating this special occasion was Shirley Wade Thomas of Corpus Christi. Shirley was the Maid of Honor in their wedding, and a girlhood friend of Adell’s, like a sister to Adell. They had lunch at Waterstreet Cafe, and a little cake celebration in Shirley’s home following lunch.
