Visit Aransas National Wildlife Refuge to learn about all the animals in your backyard! Serving as a prime birding spot located along the central flyway, Aransas is the winter home of the endangered whooping crane. This year Aransas will be celebrating 75 years of working with partners to insure the animals and habitats that we have today are here for future generations. Get outdoors, go wild!

What: Free Event

When: Saturday, October 20, 2012
Time: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Where: Austwell, Texas

Directions: 7 miles south of Austwell, Texas on FM 2040. Hosted by Friends of Aransas and Matagorda Island National Wildlife Refuges and US Fish and Wildlife Service.
There will be hunting and fishing demonstrations, pier and wade fishing, kayaking, guided tours, wildlife lectures, expert speaker, family crafts, bug hunt, live animals and much, much more! (More being added daily.)
