The Port O’Connor Lions Club is gearing up for an Arts & Crafts Festival on Saturday, March 16th at the Port O’Connor Community Center Pavilion. The outlook is excellent for a great time to be had by all. The members are making their plans to have an excellent quality show including raffles and with lots of advertising so folks from other areas can join in. We are looking for vendors, so plan now to reserve your booth and gather your items for sale. Additionally, please tell a talented friend about the event so they can start preparing. Not everything has to be completely hand made. We are just looking for good quality sale items.
The funds received over expenses will be used for community purposes. One example is our raising funds in order to award whatever scholarships we can to deserving students.
This past May 2012, we were pleased to award one $500. scholarship to a well deserved Calhoun High School Senior from Port O’Connor and we sponsored $500. in swim lesson fees for some children to learn to swim who could not otherwise afford it. We are also working with the Port O’Connor Elementary School to help with vision screening of the children slated for January 2013.

SALE TIME: Open to Public 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Booth Rental Information:
Under the Pavilion: $25.00 with approx. 12’x12’ space which includes one 6’ table & 2 chairs. Additional tables – $5.00 each. Or consider renting 2 booths if additional space is needed for an additional booth charge.
Outside the Pavilion: Bring your own equipment, awning, tables, etc. – the cost is $20.00 for an approximate 12’x12’ space
Booths under Pavilion will be reserved on a first come, first serve basis – as there is a limited number of these booths and also extra tables.
