Memorial Medical Center
I recently spent some time being treated at the Memorial Medical Center in Port Lavaca and couldn’t have been more pleased with the service and kindness from the nurses and Dr. Bunnell.
I hope we can continue to keep such a facility in Calhoun County to serve us.
Once again thanks Memorial Medical Center for the fine treatment.

My Two Cents Worth
I have no problem with having armed officers in our schools, but who or what will insure that these officers will be at the right place or the right time to prevent some deranged person from  taking the lives of children with no matter what type of weapon? Oh, they might take out that person after the fact. Unless there is some way to prevent those weapons from getting into the schools in the first place what good will it do to have armed officers in the schools? And who is going to pay for them? That’s what I have to say about that.
While it is true that criminals will find a way to get around background checks it is also true that  most of the shooters at schools, theaters and public places have been done by young deranged men who got their weapons at home. Someone should have noticed their strange behavior and told the authorities to do something with them before they do such senseless killing.
That’s my two cents worth.            -G.B. Robertson
