George Anne Cormier, Director of the Calhoun County Museum, has recently published a book, “Images of America: Calhoun County”, containing many images that depict the history of Port Lavaca and other coastal communities in the 19th and 20th centuries.
The images are separated into four sections: early trials, life on the bay, agriculture and industry, and community and tourism.
All proceeds from the book sales will go back into the museum. It will be available ($21.99) from Arcadia Publishing through major book dealers.
Ms. Comier will have a book signing from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on March 20 at the museum, located at 301 S. Ann St. in Port Lavaca.
