Glenda “Cookie” Davenport, 72, of Seadrift, passed away on March 25, 2013. She was born to WR and Louise Walcott Mooney on September 15, 1940. Glenda was a partner on her husband’s shrimp boat for many years and later worked at Barkett’s Restaurant.

Glenda is survived by son, Glen (Kim) Davenport; daughter, Jackie (Marcus) May; five grandchildren: Heather (Casey) Carter, Tabatha (James) Salazar, Jonathan (Tonya) Davenport, Caitlynn Davenport, and Ashley (Josh) Waghorne; 10 great-grandchildren: Madison, Taylor, Saige, Mia, Ava, Layton, Paige, Lily, Dusty, and Felicity; nieces, nephews and special friends and family.

Graveside services were held at Seadrift Cemetery on March 30, 2013 with Pastor Larry Green, Chaplin of Hospice of South Texas, officiating.Pallbearers were Von Mooney, Josh Waghorne, Jonathan Davenport, James Salazar, Casey Carter and Gary Adams.
