Victoria EC has opened a Member Services Center in Port O’Connor. The 2400 square-foot facility, which has been in use since April, opened officially with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on May 14. It is the first such facility for the cooperative.
The co-op has stationed two service trucks at the building on State Highway 185 in the southeastern corner of its service territory. The office also houses three linemen and a member services representative. Members in the area will be able to pay bills and use other services on Fridays through the summer. There is also a drop box for bill payments.
The cooperative built the facility in an effort to respond more quickly to outages and to more efficiently perform work in the area.
