On Wednesday, December 11th, a group of POC Lions Club Members visited the patients in the Memorial Medical Center with well wishes and a gift of a toy Lion to greet and cheer the patients for the Holidays.
It was a joyful and uplifting visit with the patients for Jim Butler, Linda Butler, Debbie Michalec and Diane Cooley who made the rounds giving out the toy Lions. The group was rewarded by talking with the patients and wishing them “Get Well” wishes and greeting them with “Merry Christmas” and “Happy Holidays”. The patients were very happy to have someone visit who genuinely cares about their well being.
This project is an idea by Jim Butler, Chairman of the Toy Lions Committee and it was well received by all those who were visited. Good going, Jim!
