Land and Sand Fun Run is on Sat, Mar 29 in conjunction with Dolphin Awareness Month and benefits the non-profit Texas Marine Mammal Stranding Network whose state headquarters are in Galveston.

THE LAND AND SAND RUN & WALK IS THE ONLY RACE THAT TRAVELS OVER THE SAND ALONG THE GULF AND THEN ON THE STREET FOR A FUN, SCENIC RACE.

This event promotes understanding about the need for conservation of marine mammals through rescue and rehabilitation, research and education while offering family activities for everyone from children to seasoned runners. Includes 1K, 5K and 10K runs, plus a dolphin discovery zone.
