The main topic of last meeting was the upcoming spring garage and bake sale. It is scheduled for Saturday, April 5, and despite what the Groundhog said, we’re hoping for lots of good weather. The new head of the Garage Sale will be Peggy Elliott, and she will be assisted by Kay Middleton and Linda Orrick. Anyone having goods to donate, please call Peggy at 983-2165; Kay at 983-2257 or Linda at 719-650-3433. You many also call President Janet Johnson at 983-4737.

Donations to the Port O’Connor Volunteer Fire Department were made in memory of: Linda Fielder, a former resident and teacher at our school; Henry Paul Chargois, Janet Johnson’s brother; Clarence Albrecht; and Helen Munsch.

Sadly, Agnes Valigura, a long time member of the Service Club, who served as Parliamentarian and as a member of the History Committee, passed away on Friday, February 7th. This incredible lady will be most genuinely missed.
