Robert Chatham recently announced his decision not to seek re-election after serving on the Seadrift City Council for over 30 years (although not all consecutively). He was honored with an award for his service at the May 6 Council Meeting. (We, at the Dolphin, wish Robert all the best and will miss seeing him at the meetings.)

Peggy Gaines will be assuming his former position on the City Council and will be sworn in on or before the June 3rd Council meeting.
