Calhoun County Republican Club Vice-President Lesa Jurek, Republican County Chair Russell Cain, Outgoing President Rita Poimbeauf, Alice Tripp of the Texas State Rifle Association, President Larry Robinson, and Secretary/Treasurer Rita Miller.

Election of officers was held at the last Calhoun County Republican Club meeting. Rita Poimbeauf has accepted a heavy work load at U of H and was unable to continue to serve as President. Fortunately Larry Robinson agreed to step in.

Alice Tripp, Legislative Director for the Texas State Rifle Association and invited guest speaker of the Club, was both informative and entertaining. She updated the group on current legislature with a fiery zest and southern sass.

Rep. Geanie W. Morrison, District 30, will speak at the next meeting on September 8, 2014, in the Community Room of the Grace Episcopal Church on Austin Street in Port Lavaca.
