The Hope H.S. Environmental Club took a field trip to the Texas State Marine Education Center in Palacios on April 23, 2015. The trip included a boat trip with stops along the way for water quality testing and trawling for species identification. A tour of the Palacios turning basin gave students an up close look at Gulf shrimp boats and barges. Students also took part in seining along the beach and a nature walk. Club sponsor is Laurie Weaver.
