Summer is slowly moving to an end and School will be starting in just a few weeks.  Wow!  Where did Summer go?  The heat is still here, but our tourist visits are not as strong.

We had a great Sunday Service this past Sunday.  Our Church attendance was up and our Pastor, Bro. Donnie Martin preached a great Sermon.  Bro. Raymond Grant gave the Children a very interesting Children’s sermon.  The Church Choir sang a beautiful song for a Special before Bro. Donnie’s sermon.

Congregation Songs were led by Bro. Raymond Grant and included “I’ve Got Peace Like A River”, “Sunshine In My Soul”, “Stand Up, Stand Up For Jesus”, and “Onward Christian Soldiers”.
The Ladies of the Church are conducting a weekly “Ladies Book/Bible Study” each Tuesday Evening from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m.  The Ladies invite all ladies, who are interested, to attend this exciting session in Fellowship Hall.

Upcoming events in the Church are:  On Sunday, September 6, the 11:00 a.m. service will be conducted by the visiting “SPOKEN 4 QUARTET”.  This music evangelist group will be singing their famous Southern Gospel music and deliver a special message to the congregation.

On September 21 to 24 many of our Senior Adults will be attending the Senior Adult Retreat at Camp Zephyr.  This Retreat cost is $100 per person and includes 3 nights motel type lodging and all meals and refreshments.  Marcos & Sue Gohlke will be singing and leading the Gospel Music and George Yarbrough will be giving several devotions.

On Sunday, September 27, in the 11:00 a.m. service, the Church will celebrate the “Lord’s Supper”.  On Sunday evening, September 27 the Church will have their quarterly “BIRTHDAY BASH”, celebrating with those who have birthdays in July, August and September at 6:00 p.m. in Fellowship Hall.  Everyone is invited to attend this joyous occasion.

See You In Church Sunday!
