Nell Weber

Give a fish and feed for a day, teach to fish and feed for a lifetime. For her entire life of 81 years, Eva Nell Weber shared joy and passion for fishing with her whole family and a school of friends. All benefited under her tutelage and she was delighted to share our enjoyment fighting a red or reeling in a trout. Nell was stealthy. There was many a time she hooked a fish to hand it over to the “newbie” who suddenly had a “bite”! Nell left us on Tuesday, November 24, 2015. A homemaker of 62 years for her husband Frank and mother to three boys, Nell never met a stranger. She opened her home and heart to welcome visitors to their retirement home in Port O’Conner, Texas. When not fishing, Nell was a fierce 42 player and avid gardener. No one could leave her home without a basket of homegrown tomatoes, cucumbers, and fig preserves not to mention full bellies.

Nell was preceded in death by her father, Lawrence Rigamonti, mother Margaret, brother Lawrence, Junior, sister Anna Marie, nephews Larry Garvel and Charles Rigamonti and grandniece Brooke Rigamonti. She is survived by her husband Frank Weber; son Dave Weber and his wife Jennifer, granddaughters Julia and Maggie Weber; son Greg Weber; and son Mark and his wife Deanna Weber. She is also survived by the extended Weber and Rigamonti families.

The family would like to thank the staff of Home Instead Senior Care and Crestview Court for their TLC and compassion. Hospice Brazos Valley could not have been more kind and attentive in her last months.

In deference to Nell’s last wishes, formal services are not planned. A celebration of Nell’s life and memory will take place in the spring.

Nell asked that any donations be made to the Service Club/Senior Citizens Program, C/O Pat Ekstrom, P.O. Box 323, Port O’Connor, Texas 77982.
