Last year’s winners

Memorial Day is just around the corner! The 3-day weekend marks the start of summertime. The Port O’Connor Chamber of Commerce will host the Annual Memorial Day Kite Flying Contest at King Fisher Beach. The contest will be on Saturday, May 28th at 1:00 p.m. Registration begins at 12:30 and hopefully the kites will be flying at 1:00 p.m promptly.

Each year since the contest started up again we have had a .great time watching all the colorful kites, visiting with all the participants and just coming out and enjoying the great weather and our wonderful beach.

The contest is open to all ages and kite styles, even homemade kites are welcome. We are excited to see you there this year.
