We are living in exciting days – we sincerely believe Jesus could return at any time and surely it will not be long! As a result of our conviction, we are doing everything we can to be ready and help everyone get ready for Jesus! Heaven is a wonderful promise available for all who will simply put their faith in Jesus Christ.

Pastor Joane and I had the privilege of attending a conference in Houston during the later part of February. We were challenged to do more praying than ever before. At this time, Pastor Joane is teaching the book, “Fervent” on each Tuesday evening at 7:00 p.m. at the parsonage. Everyone is invited and the books can be purchased. These classes will inspire attendees to a greater prayer life. Come and enjoy. For further information, please call Pastor Joane at 361/648-4622.

Our ladies had a “Sit and Be Fit” meeting, taught by Kim. It was a great time of fun, lite food, and fellowship. Carol is teaching a class on Crazy Quilting and the ladies are truly enjoying it. There is always food, fun, and fellowship and all are welcomed to come be a part of our ladies activities. The next event scheduled for April 5 is a Ladies Brunch at 10:00 a.m. Come and bring a friend!

Not to be outdone, our Men had a special Men’s Breakfast. We had 26 men present and they all went away “Fat and Happy”! It was full breakfast prepared by David and his crew. We will be hosting another Men’s Breakfast on Saturday, March 18, 8:30 a.m. All men and boys are welcomed to come and enjoy our “full meal deal”!

We celebrated the life of Frances Pressley on Sunday, March 12 in our evening service. Our congregation came together to stand alongside Trish and Frances’ two brothers. Many friends and family expressed our love for her and will sincerely miss Frances.

On March 26, at 6:00 p.m., we will be having special activities centered around our children. Angie is planning an evening for Missions, in which Mexico will be highlighted. We will be having our children dress in costumes and will be having food booths with different Mexican dishes. Our guest speaker will be Missionary Erny and Sandra Peacock, who have ministered in Mexico for many years. It will be a special time for everyone and all are invited to attend.

We are looking forward to our annual Easter Sunrise Service at the Front Beach. It is always a great time for us as a community to come together to herald, “He Lives!” Please plan to be there, remembering to bring a chair, and come ready to praise the Risen Lord!

Fisherman’s Chapel is an interdenominational congregation (meaning all Christians are welcome to become a part) whose goal is to help folks make Heaven our Eternal Home. One will always find a warm welcome at the Chapel and all are urged to, “Come, grow with us.”
