Adopt-A-Beach — We will NOT be having the fall cleanup at Magnolia Beach this month because of Hurricane Harvey. Some locations in Texas will still participate on September 23 but NOT Magnolia Beach.
This call was mine to make. I hope you will understand that many of my volunteers and partners (like the Volunteer Fire Department and Precinct 1 employees) who help make this happen are simply overworked with post-storm cleanup duties. Additionally, the new restrooms at the beach are NOT operational after the septic system was flooded with sand. It is unknown at this time when the facilities will re-open.
