I want to THANK the voters of Precinct 5 and Port O’Connor for allowing me to serve you for 27 years. I appreciate your support and confidence. During my first campaign in 1990, I knew that I loved my community and the people living here. I wanted to make a difference in this community by serving as Justice of the Peace.

After many months of thoughts, prayers and serious consideration, I have decided to seek one more term as your Justice of the Peace. Next week I will be filing with the Republican Party for my 8th term. I have hundreds of hours of training. I have served as J.P. for many years and I taught new court clerks for the Justice Court Training Center during those years. When Judge James Dworaczyk passed away in 2012. I was appointed to complete his remaining two year term. I served both precincts until a new JP was elected. Also, in 2015 I was appointed associate Seadrift Municipal Judge to preside as their Judge if for some reason Judge Hunt had to recuse himself from a case.

I feel I have accomplished several goals during my tenure. I have strived to be a true PUBLIC SERVANT, and to be fair and impartial. I have always said each case should be judged on it’s own merit.

Our community and the judiciary have seen a lot of changes during the past 27 years. It has not been easy, but it has had its rewards. From the beginning, I promised to take the job seriously and to make a difference in my community. I feel I have done so. I am looking forward to the next 4 years. Thank you, voters, and non voters as well. I sincerely appreciate being your Justice of the Peace. I respectfully ask for your vote of confidence in the coming elections. I will continue to serve until the time comes I must step aside. When that day arrives, I hope my replacement will have the desire to serve this community to the best of his or her ability and from the heart. God Bless you all.
