SEADRIFT – Kanshie ‘K’ Mathis Jr., 66, of Seadrift, passed away on January 6, 2018. ‘K’ was born in Ashburn, Ga. on September 25, 1951.

He is preceded in death by his parents, AME Rev. Kanshie Mathis, Sr. and AME Joyce Bell Ragin, along with several brothers and sisters.

‘K’ is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Glenda Gail Southern Mathis. The couple spent the last 25 years residing in Seadrift.

There will be a Celebration of Life for ‘K’ in a private graveside service with family and friends at a future date.
