RLB Contracting, Inc. is under contract with the United States Army Corps of Engineers to dredge the Intracoastal Waterway at the Matagorda Ship Channel for a Beach Nourishment Project of King Fisher Beach. The project should last about 5 weeks. It is asked that all recreational boater and fisherman, commercial and sport, avoid the work activity area. A dredge discharge pipeline has been put in place from the Dredge to King Fisher Beach. The pipeline corridor has been marked with Orange Ball Buoys, Orange Floats and lighted flashing buoys.
The map of the work area (below) shows examples of the buoys being used. If there are any questions contact the USACE Corpus Christi Resident Office at 1902 N. Chaparral St. Corpus Christi Texas, 78401 at (361) 884-3385 or Safety Director Mark Daigle (361) 920-6560.
