Thank You
Thank you, Thank you, Thank you! to everyone who helped and came out to the First Baptist Church Annual Easter Egg Hunt. There was a wonderful turnout this year, so many kids came to hunt eggs, and I really appreciate all the help and support I received this year. The youth has spent the last 4 Wednesdays stuffing 1200 eggs, and it was all well worth it. A big THANK YOU to the youth that helped set up and hide eggs this year, Dylan Schumann, Maddie Hawes, John Rosenboom, Everett and Everly Davis. Ms. Evelyn Kitchens, Mary Ann Claiborne, Diane Cooley, and Alece Davis, thank you for running the refreshments and the clean up afterwards. Big appreciation to all who donated eggs, candies, and cookies. The homemade snacks were wonderful, thank you Amy Gosnell and Kacie Skalak. Thank you Salt Blossom for donating the prizes for the golden eggs again. This 30 year + tradition could not continue if it wasn’t for the support we receive from this wonderful community. I am so glad to be a part of it every year.
Thank you,
Candice Stryker
POC PROUD
I have lived in Port O’Connor for 52 years, I have always felt and told people that Port O’Connor is such a clean community, considering we are not a city. Thru the years several organizations have banned together and picked up trash from ditches on 1289.There are a couple guys that regularly walk on 1289 and pick up. They do not want anything, just taking pride in POC.

Thank You
Thank you all for being a blessing to Freda and to our family…before cancer, during our fight (NO ONE FIGHTS ALONE) and after her passing to be with the Lord. We cannot express in words our gratitude- first & foremost to the caregivers that helped us and spent so much time, care, and compassion…during these last few weeks…Sylvia, DV, Cindy, Mary, and Hospice of South Texas. Freda and our family have been truly blessed. Thank you for your selfless acts of true love. Thank you to all who brought your prayers…thank you for the food, cards, plants, flowers, stuffed animals, crosses, rosary beads, hugs, and fellowship.
Thank you to all of Freda’s Friends for your prayers and support- these are MANY far and wide, for she touched so many lives, we cannot begin to make a list…. And thank you to all Freda’s Family Members…these are also MANY far & wide….because even if you were not blood, you were family to Freda…and she would be proud to declare it.
We know that she was a warrior…sharing her testimony and blessing others. We will miss her, but we know we will one day be reunited with her in Heaven where there is no suffering, there are no tears, except of happiness, and only the Love of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. In that we are faithful as we humbly rejoice.
