Seadrift School hosted a Family Math and Science Night! There were science experiments like a potato shooter, making gak, and for pressure students used wind to fill plastic tubs and tried see who can throw theirs the furthest. Some of the math stations were Bingo, using fractions to measure out chocolate chip cookie batter (that students were able to take home to make), creating 2-demensional shapes with specific vertices and edges only using pipe cleaners and straws, using cubes to measure the perimeter of various objects and using shapes to make pictures. Baskets full of math and science experiment and game items were drawn for door prizes for the students and parents who attended. Students were exposed to math and science vocabulary while engaged in fun hands-on experiments.              Leslie ShirhallSeadrift-Math
