Sam Lack with his tagged Redfish
Wins $25,000 Scholarship in Texas Star Tournament

Young angler Sam Lack of Houston, caught a fish coveted by thousands of anglers, a tagged redfish! Sam caught the fish while fishing from a boat slip in Port O’Connor with his dad, sister and cousins. The kids were having a blast catching hardheads on cut mullet when Sam hooked something a little bigger. While measuring the fish Sam told his dad “there’s something sticking out of that fish.” After giving it a gentle tug, dad got Sam to read the tag and they realized exactly what they had caught. To top it all off, it was dad’s birthday!

Sam will be taking home a $25,000 scholarship from Texas Ford Dealers, 23’ Haynie Bigfoot, Mercury outboard and Coastline trailer.

There are still three Ford truck and Haynie boat combos and another five Haynie boats waiting to be claimed by lucky anglers who catch one of fifty-seven remaining tagged redfish! Along with these, there are still FIFTY-NINE empty spots on the leaderboard just waiting to be claimed! So get registered, get out, and win yourself a new boat or your child a life changing size scholarship!
