At their October Meeting, members and guests of Port O’ Connor’s “Hooked On Books” Book Club were entertained by Author, Curt Locklear, as he discussed his books, “Asunder” and “Splintered”, Parts 1 & 2 of his Civil War Trilogy. Mr. Locklear shared interesting and educational Civil War facts & trivia, sang period songs while playing his guitar & banjo, and gave out door prizes to winners of his Trivia Games. The event was held at the beautiful Club House of The Sanctuary at Costa Grande, & delicious refreshments were enjoyed by all!! The Book Club would like to thank Curt Locklear for sharing his time and talent; Jeanine Paigl and The Sanctuary for hosting the event; Casey Skalak of Dock’s for preparing an evening meal for the author and hostesses; and Beverly Clifton of Salt Blossom for the beautiful flower arrangements.
