Hey, POC residents…

I wanted to share with y’all that my amazing dad is running for the Water District Board in POC and we have to get him in there! My dad fell in love with POC back in 1957. Throughout the years we have always had a place in POC and have wonderful memories, and plan to make loads more! My dad is always lending a helping hand to the community in POC and absolutely loves helping people. My dad owned McKinney Construction for 27 years, which was a Utility Contracting company. My dad would be honored to serve on the water district board and help the wonderful community of the great Port O’Connor! Let’s get him in there to help!

Dear Editor:

I didn’t just watch the Beto v Cruz debate but took notes on it and noticed some things.
Cruz felt very much an old hat to this sort of thing which he should be considering his presidential ambitions, experience in the courtroom, and so forth and he did seem at times to control the debate ignoring parts of questions didn’t like and would twist Beto’s answers. A typical politician.

And yet, it seemed that he lost the debate because he provided no substance to his answers except as attacks. Attacks to Beto, Democrats, the Democrat Party, the American people, and democracy at large. Meanwhile Beto was very thoughtful about his answers and moving beyond partisan attacks.

Overall, Ted Cruz’s answers gave me the frustrated feeling of watching a typical smarmy lawyer weaseling his way around a courtroom. He couldn’t even be nice to Beto for 90 seconds basically saying ditto to Beto’s answer and then tying Bernie Sanders, AOC, Clinton, and others to Beto as an attack when he was supposed to be respectful to his opponent. As Beto said: True to Form.
