Michael Richard Gonzales Sr, age 70, of Port O’Connor, Texas passed away on January 7, 2019. Michael was born in Port O’Connor to the late Edward and Pauline Gonzales on June 7, 1948. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great- grandfather. Michael was a Vietnam Veteran in the U.S. Navy, and retired from the U.S. Coast Guard. He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Refugio Gonzales and Edward Gonzales, Jr.; sister Angie Mezo; grandson Matthew Overton. He is survived by his wife, Lorrie Gonzales; brothers, Ray and Billy Gonzales; sister Sylvia Mackie; son Michael Gonzales, Jr; daughter Michelle Overton; grandchildren Anthony Gonzales, Easton Gonzales, Mikaela Overton, Zoey Gonzales,and Jada Gonzales; great grandchildren Lucas Overton and Paisley Gonzales. He also leaves behind many nephews and nieces along with their families to cherish his memory.

Visitation was Sunday, January 13, 2019 from 3-6 pm with a Prayer Service at 4 pm at Fisherman’s Chapel 311 Main Street in Port O’Connor. Under the direction of Angel Lucy’s Funeral Home in Port Lavaca, 361-552-2300.
