Douglas and Sadiqa Shako and their two children, Zuri and Gabriel from Calgary, Canada (pictured above and below) just spent two days of their spring break in Port O’Connor. Since the whole family love to fish we took them to the Big Jetties to fish for redfish. Even at this early age the two kids are already proficient fisher people. They bait their own hooks, cast, set the hook and bring the fish to the net. It was a pleasure to fish with them.
Zuri is 12 years old and Gabriel is 8. Their grandfather, Joe Shako from Jamaica has been fishing in Port O’Connor for several years now and will return again this year.
