There is not much going on on “Super Bowl Saturday”. Not true. There is going to be a big party Super Bowl Saturday night at the VFW in Port Lavaca. We call it the Warrior’s Weekend Muster and it is a fund raiser to help us to bring between 600 -700 combat wounded heroes to Calhoun County for a weekend they will soon not forget.

On Saturday, February 1st, the VFW doors will open at 2:00 p.m.; dinner will be at 5:30 and the live auction starts at 7:00 p.m.

This will be our 14th year of entertaining these heroes here and we need your help. In order to raise funds to hold this event, we are in need of auction and raffle items. Large and small. Anything will do.

Also, we need to sell sponsor tables for the Muster. They will include entry and seating for eight. There will be a rib-eye steak dinner and an open bar and are only $400 each.
