On November 6th, a stunned Kemp sea turtle was found on Port O’Connor’s King Fisher beach. The sea turtle looked deceased, but happily, she was alive and just stunned by the cooler temperatures. She was rescued and transported to Rockport for testing, fluids and rehabilitation. She is doing great and on track to be released back to the wild soon. Special Thanks to Kelley Kowal, Brigid Berger, Chris Skeie, David Kowal, Bobby Smith and Texas Parks and Wildlife who all had a hand in this turtle’s rescue. If you ever find a sea turtle, dead or alive, please call 1-866-Turtle5 (1-866-887-8535) to report.
